Yes, get in the Green Town in the Altai
mountains has proved quite difficult. This is
expected and the organizers of the ninth arch festival "Towns",
make a real experience of the architects of survival in the wild. However,
this did not prevent the 700 participants in the festival not only
successfully survive, but also to create on the picturesque shore of Lake
Multinskogo that is close to beluga whales, now Green settlement.
Architects are not frightened by the need to produce a timber splavlyaya
it to the place of construction of a mountain river, and then processing
for hand-saw bench. The theme of the environmental housing and
infrastructure for autonomous settlements rallied more than 70 teams and
resulted in many unique eco-stores, some of which are superior to their
scale installations of all the previous festivals.
The first settlers were the future of Green Town,
led by Ivan Ovchinnikov arrived long before the opening for training camp
with a full kitchen, a cinema and night illumination. Harsh weather
conditions are not given to relax even for a minute, and after two weeks
of torrential rains, seemed to force creativity is no longer left.

thanks to the enthusiasm of the newly arriving participants at the coast,

The theme of eco-housing, as the festival theme, has
given rise to many variations - from the cozy dome zemlyanok and spherical
cocoons covered with moss to complex multilevel structures have all the
characteristics of housing - beds, a fireplace and even a small body of
water. But, of course, except for housing in the Town
had many other functions. By the time of its opening earned two ferry
crossings of about 60 meters. One of them worked on muscular strength,
move on the cable ferry across the River. Another (the Tri-Ge, Moscow,

steel cable. The town got its own house of marriage (the Pearson Grata,
Novosibirsk), the theater of nature (the MPAAT-Arhitamin, Kiev), the water
bath (the fire, Moscow), as well as a small fleet of several rafts. Middle

The evening program of the Festival is also revealed to the theme of
ecological approach to architecture in a series of master: Timur bashkan

under the name "New Land", Andrew Asadov told of the conceptual project "Solar
Farm" - autonomous settlement using alternative energy sources and the
latest achievements of eco-architecture, Maxim Malein and club Revitcity
conducted master classes on the possibilities of parametric architecture.
Also, a presentation of other architectural festivals - "O'gorod in Nizhny
Novgorod," Another value "in Yaroslavl," ArtPolis "in Samara," Buch-art "in
Irkutsk, as well as the legendary ArhStoyaniya in the village of
Nikola-sluggard and European festival EASA .
On the night after the opening of the territory of the city turned into a
necklace of living Lights by Lighting Bureau "Axioma"

In general, the Green Town showed that the
inaccessible areas and tasks for architects is not the case, the
environmental issue in the architecture becomes vital, and the Festival is
ripe to establish a fully fledged autonomous settlements as an
experimental platform for the development of the ideas and techniques of
eco-architecture.
